Have you tried to kill your character? If that doesn't work try restarting ark. In the unlikely case that doesn't work you can try restarting your pc.

ive done everything except kill myself, i will try now

Sometimes ark gets stuck in a weird mode you can try restarting the game, that may fix it.

the only thing i haven't done is a fresh install

You might have to demolish the bed you woke up in, or keep relogging, if you need we can remake your character.

yeah did a fresh install and still nothing, will demo bed next. it was working fine when i logged out around midnight est. so weird even smithy on argi isnt working. im appreciating all the help so far

so i figured out all my engrams were reset somehow, as i'm re learning everything i can now use the crafting stations. i don't think i did anything to reset my engrams, but who knows. i think the problem is fixed

the only thing that's different is i no longer have access to the other engrams from the other maps or tek engrams like b4. gotta destroy everything, can't pick up like normal
